After Michaels breakfast he woke me up. He got me ready for our trip to Oakham Rutland Showground. Michael want to show me other F-Series and a lot of Hot Rods. The NSRA (National Street Rod Association) celebrates its 50th Anniversary.
After crossing the Thames we used the M25, M11 and M1 direction Peterborough. Then we follow the A606 to the beautiful Rutland Water. Lots of traffic and roadwork in this area. At the entrance of the Showground we got a warm welcome and we lineup in on the grass with the other cars. I was the only one from Germany. There were 6 other F-Series along approximately 200 cars. Nearly 2/3 of it were Hot Rods. It was a great show. Here are some pictures.
Later we leave the show ground to meet with the Ford Y&C Register in Fincham. The A47 is a kind of giant pothole. This was the worst road during our trip. Sometimes I felt that I‘m the slowest vehicle on the road. A few miles before Fincham Michael got some food and we meet Goeff and Bob with their Y And C.
Together we went Fincham. 11 Model Y, 4 Model C, 1 Eifel, 1 Prefect Ute and myself as the yougster were parked on the ground.
On Monday we will go to Caister Castle.
